New spare parts portal for Dieffenbacher GmbH

DIEFFENBACHER GMBH, Eppingen is a leading international manufacturer of press systems and complete production plants for wood-based panel, composites and recycling industries with a tradition of more than 145 years. In the past, spare parts were ordered by using software tools that were no longer up to date and difficult to understand. The processes that led to these catalogs and data were complicated and cumbersome: little integration, high redundancies and a lot of manual work.
In order to further advance the digitization processes in the company and to meet customer expectations, DIEFFENBACHER planned to introduce an electronic and technical information system for customers, service technicians and the service department with a focus on spare parts catalogs. The objective was to guarantee fast and uncomplicated identification of the right spare parts and thus to transmit enquiries and orders to the relevant departments via shopping basket function.
DIEFFENBACHER commissioned EURODOK GmbH to implement the objective. The Heppenheim specialist for technical documentation and knowledge management embedded the standard software solution of the interactive spare parts catalog door2parts offered by door2solution software gmbh, which allows information to be supplemented and designations to be changed.
The integration of documents including a full text search in the service portal guarantees customers and service technicians that the right information can be found quickly and easily. Integrated hotspots (interaction between image and parts list) support users in selecting the right parts. The machines and systems can be assigned to one or more customers. This allows visibility on an international level to be mapped efficiently and clearly. Different user groups are thus granted different rights.
